Drive to Ċirkewwa and take the Gozo Channel car ferry. On Gozo, explore the Citadella in Victoria, the Ta' Pinu basilica, the Azure Window site at Dwejra, and the Ramla Bay red-sand beach. Gozo's roads are noticeably calmer.
Road note: You pay the ferry on the return from Gozo. Confirm your rental allows the ferry crossing (most do).
